Privacy, donor privacy and terms
Short, in plain English, and covering what we actually do with your details.
Draft text, not legal advice. These three policies are written as a starting point. Have a US non-profit attorney review them, and check the state charitable-solicitation rules for Arizona, before the site goes live. Last updated [DATE].

Privacy policy
This policy covers wfun.charity and any email we send you. It is written for a small organisation, because that is what WFUN is: two people, no marketing department, and no interest in holding data we do not need.
What we collect
If you donate, we collect your name, email address, the amount and the fund you chose. If you create an account, we also store a password, held only as a one-way hash that nobody at WFUN can read. If you write to us, we keep the message so we can answer it.
We never see or store your full card number. Card payments are handled entirely by our payment processor, and only the last four digits and the card brand come back to us so you can recognise the payment later.
What we do with it
Four things: send your receipt, keep the records our annual return requires, email you when a delivery goes out if you asked for that, and reply when you write to us. Nothing else.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent, swap or lend your details to anyone. We do not run advertising trackers or sell audience data. We do not share donor lists with other charities, which is a common practice in this sector and one we have chosen to stay out of.
Cookies
The site sets a session cookie when you sign in, and remembers your cookie preference. We use a privacy-respecting analytics tool that counts page views without tracking individuals across sites. Declining analytics does not change anything about how the site works for you.
How long we keep things
Donation records are kept for seven years, which US tax rules require. Email correspondence is kept for two years. If you delete your account, the login and preferences go immediately, and the donation record stays for the seven-year period with your name attached, because the return requires it.
Your rights
Write to vida@wfun.charity and ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, a correction, or deletion. You will get a reply within thirty days, usually much sooner. If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR rights apply to you and this is how you exercise them.
Children
The site is not intended for anyone under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their details. Photographs of children in Thailand are published with the consent of the school and, where required, the guardian, under our child protection policy.

Donor privacy policy
This is the promise we make to people who give us money. It goes further than the law requires and we would rather be held to it.
Your name stays with us
We will never sell, rent, trade or publish your name, email or giving history. No donor list leaves WFUN. If you want to be thanked publicly, you have to ask us in writing, and even then we will check with you before anything appears.
Anonymous giving
You can give anonymously. We will still need an email address to send the receipt the tax rules require, but nothing will carry your name.
How often we write
Three or four emails a year, sent after a delivery. No monthly appeals, no year-end campaign, no phone calls. Unsubscribing takes one click and does not affect your receipts.
Designated gifts
If you choose a fund, your gift goes to that fund. If a fund reaches its target before the van is loaded, we will write to you and ask before moving anything, rather than quietly reallocating it.
Refunds
Made a mistake, or gave twice by accident? Tell us within thirty days and we will refund it in full, no questions. After the goods are bought we usually cannot, and we will explain why rather than just saying no.
Receipts and deductibility
WFUN is a 501(c)(3) and gifts from US taxpayers are deductible to the extent the law allows. Your receipt carries our EIN and confirms that no goods or services were given in exchange. We are not able to give you tax advice about your own return.

Terms of use
By using wfun.charity you accept these terms. They are short because the site is simple.
What the site is
An information and donation site for Wellness for Underserved Nations, a 501(c)(3) charitable and educational organization registered in Arizona.
Accuracy
We try to keep figures, delivery records and costs accurate, and we correct mistakes in public rather than quietly. Where a number on the site disagrees with a filed annual return, the return is authoritative. Exchange rates and local prices move, so costs shown for items in Thailand are indicative.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. We may suspend an account being used for fraud or abuse. You can close your account whenever you like.
Donations
A donation is a gift, not a purchase, and it is not conditional on any specific outcome. We will use it for the fund you chose, within the mission described on this site. Payments are processed by third parties under their own terms.
Photographs and content
Photographs, text and the WFUN name and logo belong to WFUN. You may share and link to anything here, including for teaching or press. Please do not crop our photographs of children out of context or use them to raise money for anything else.
Liability
The site is provided as it is. We are not liable for loss arising from using it, beyond what the law does not allow us to exclude. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona.
