Terms and Conditions

The rules for using this site and for giving through it. Short, because the site is simple.

01

Using this site

By using wfun.charity you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Who we are

Wellness for Underserved Nations (WFUN) is a 501(c)(3) charitable and educational organization registered in Arizona, USA. This is our information and donation site.

Accuracy

We try to keep figures, delivery records and costs accurate, and we correct mistakes in public rather than quietly. Where a number on the site disagrees with a filed annual return, the return is authoritative. Exchange rates and local prices move, so costs shown for items in Thailand are indicative.

Your account

Your donor account has no password: you sign in with a link we email you. Keep your email account secure, and tell us if you think someone else can read it. We may suspend an account being used for fraud or abuse. You can delete your account whenever you like from your account page.

Using the site properly

Please do not use the site or the donation form to test payment cards, to send spam, or to overload or break the site. We may block anyone who does, and report fraud to the payment provider and the authorities.

Photographs and content

Photographs, text and the WFUN name and logo belong to WFUN. You may share and link to anything here, including for teaching or press. Please do not crop our photographs of children out of context or use them to raise money for anything else.

Other websites and services

Payments are handled by PayPal, Venmo and, if we switch it on, Stripe, under their own terms. We link to other websites and are not responsible for what they say or do.

Liability

The site is provided as it is. We are not liable for loss arising from using it, beyond what the law does not allow us to exclude. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page. Questions about any of this go to [email protected].

02

Donation terms

These terms apply to every gift made through wfun.charity.

A gift, not a purchase

A donation is a gift, not a purchase, and it is not conditional on any specific outcome. No goods or services are given in exchange for it.

Amounts and ways to give

Online gifts are $10 to $50,000, in whole dollars, once or monthly. You can pay with PayPal, with Venmo, or by card once card payments are on. Venmo gifts are one-time: you send them in the Venmo app, put your email in the note, and we record the gift by hand and send your receipt, usually within a day.

Where your gift goes

If you choose a campaign, we use your gift for that campaign. “Where it is needed most” is our general fund: our founder places it where local teachers say the gap is widest this year. A campaign takes gifts only between its start and end dates. If the campaign you chose reaches its target before the next delivery, we will write to you and ask before moving your gift to anything else.

Monthly gifts

A monthly gift repeats every month until you cancel it. Cancel with the link in any receipt email, from your donor account, or in PayPal. Cancelling stops future gifts. A campaign with an end date takes one-time gifts only.

Processing fees

Payment providers charge a fee on every gift. If you tick the box to cover the fee, that amount is added to your gift and shown on your receipt.

Refunds

Made a mistake, or gave twice by accident? Tell us within thirty days and we will refund it in full, no questions. After the goods are bought we usually cannot, and we will explain why rather than just saying no.

Receipts and tax

WFUN is a 501(c)(3) charitable and educational organization, and gifts from US taxpayers are deductible to the extent the law allows. Your emailed receipt says that no goods or services were given in exchange, so keep it for your records. We cannot give tax advice about your own return. If you need a letter for an employer match, write to [email protected].
