Why the split looks like this
Most charities carry salaries, offices and fundraising costs. We carry none of those, which is why the goods line is so high. It also means we cannot grow much beyond what two people can drive in a van, and we would rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise.

Who decides
Two people and a board of [0]
Vida decides what goes on the van, against the teachers’ lists. The board approves the annual budget and the return. Nobody is paid, and no board member has a financial interest in a supplier we buy from.
